Key facts:
- Grades: A = reply within 5 minutes, B = within 15 minutes, C = within 1 hour, D = within 24 hours, F = slower or no reply.
- Only companies that sign up and test themselves are listed. No robocalls, no call recording, no fake form fills.
- Contractors start the timer; detected replies stop it automatically. Calls count after they end, including processing delay. Manual stops are labeled self-reported. Auto-timed does not prove a human responded. Rows marked "example" are placeholder data, not real companies.
- Industry context: Valve+Meter tested 466 home-service companies; 95% did not respond within 5 minutes and 40% never responded (https://marketing.valveandmeter.com/speed-to-lead-home-services/).
